Brocade support logs


to capture the Brocade Converged Switch (FCOE) Network logs:

  • Command line interface (CLI) method: You will need a telnet application such as Hyperterminal or PuTTY.
    • Here, the logs are captured using Putty, you could also use other tools.
      1. Open Putty
      2. Log in the switch using a Telnet IP address
      3. From Putty do the following, right click on the window bar and go to Change Settings
      4. Go to Logging, and select all session out, and specify the file/location to save to. Hit Okay
      5. In the command line interface type: supportShow
      6. Save this log, and start a new file for the second log section.
      7. From Putty, right click on the windows bar, go back to Change Settings -> Session -> Logging and select a new file to save to
      8. In the switch type: cmsh
      9. At the new switch> type enable
      10. Then type: show tech-support
